rescue process when an animal is found
At Dawg House Rescuers of Pahrump, we are dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming of lost, dumped, or injured animals in our community. We believe that every animal deserves a loving home, and we work tirelessly to ensure that each animal that comes into our care receives the best possible care and attention.
Once we receive a report of a lost or abandoned animal, our team immediately springs into action. We start by searching the area where the animal was last seen, and we also reach out to local animal shelters and rescues to see if they have any matching descriptions. If we are unable to locate the animal, we will create a flyer and post it in the area where the animal was last seen. We will also share the flyer on social media and ask the public to help us find the animal.
If we are successful in locating the animal, we will assess its condition and determine if it needs any medical attention. If the animal is injured, we will transport it to a veterinarian for immediate care. Once the animal is healthy, we will try to reunite it with its owner. If we are unable to find the animal’s owner, we will place it in a loving foster home or shelter until a new home can be found.
We are committed to providing each animal that comes into our care with the best possible chance of finding a loving home. With your help, we can make a difference in the lives of animals in need.
